 Ombudsman actions

 The CCAC initiates investigations, in accordance with law, into complaints against public departments or entities over administrative illegalities and maladministration in order to redress illegal or unjust administrative acts or procedures.

Channels for lodging complaints and reports

 Review of regimes and operation

 With regard to any shortcomings it finds in any legal provisions, especially those which may affect rights, freedom, safeguards or legitimate interests of individuals, the CCAC renders recommendations or suggestions concerning their interpretation, amendment or repeal, or makes suggestions for new legislation. Moreover, the CCAC conducts research of the internal operation of public departments in order to improve their operation and ensure their compliance with administrative legality.

 Preventive actions against corruption

 The CCAC has formulated a series of guidelines aiming to raise the awareness of integrity among public servants and enhance integrity management of public departments, including Guidelines on the Professional Ethics and Conduct of Public Servants, Recommendations on the Formulation of Codes of Conduct for Public Services and Institutions and Guidelines on the Procurement and Acquisition of Public Goods and Services, among others. Moreover, the CCAC also organises seminars to explain relevant provisions concerning corruption prevention at the requests of the private sector or industries as well as cooperates with different industries and organisations in formulating guidelines and codes of conduct to facilitate integrity building.
