Participants of Quality and Capacity Building Programme for Judges of the High People's Court of Guangdong Province visit Macao and exchange views with the CCAC

25 persons from the Quality and Capacity Building Programme for Judges of the High People's Court of Guangdong Province paid a visit to Macao. They visited the CCAC's Branch Office at Areia Preta, the Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Declaration of Assets and Interests Division today (11th December). They also had an exchange session with the Commissioner Against Corruption Chan Tsz King.
Attendants of the programme included judges from the High People's Court of Guangdong Province, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Dongguan, Huizhou, Zhongshan, Jianmen and Zhaoqing. According to Lin Biyan, Vice President of the High People's Court of Guangdong Province, the visitors to Macao this time included court judges from the cities of the Greater Bay Area. The visit allowed them to better understand the work of the CCAC. It also deepened their understanding of the rule of law of Macao as well as its building of a clean government. They were particularly impressed by the work of the CCAC relevant to crime prevention, integrity education and assets declaration.
According to Chan Tsz King, the CCAC of Macao is willing to continuously strengthen communication and cooperation with the courts of Guangdong. He also hoped that there will be chances for the CCAC to develop liaison with the counterparts in the Chinese mainland, which will lay a solid foundation for the establishment of the rule of law and fair societies in the Greater Bay Area. Participants of the exchange session also included Ao Ieong Seong, Deputy Commissioner, Chan In Chio, Chief of the Cabinet and Wang Chao, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Law of the University of Macau.
