On 27th May, the Commissioner, Cheong U, met with the delegates of the National Anti-Corruption Commission of Thailand (NACC) who came to Macao for exchange and training. The CCAC leadership also discussed and shared opinions with the leader of the delegation and member of the NACC, Mr. Justice Vicha Mahakun, about the anti-corruption cooperation and personnel training between Macao and Thailand .

Led by Mr. Justice Vicha Mahakun, the delegation of the NACC comprised some 30 delegates including a number of investigators. Apart from paying a formal visit, the delegates also participated in a training course held by the CCAC. Member of the NACC, Mr. Justice Vicha Mahakun, the Secretary-General of the Office of the NACC Mr. Preecha Lertkamolmart, and the Deputy Secretary-General of the Office of the NACC, Mr. Apinan Itsarangkul an Ayuttaya, exchanged their opinions with the Commissioner, Cheong U, Director of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Afonso Chan, and the Acting Chief of the Cabinet of the Commissioner, Vu Ka Vai. Both parties agreed that the enhancement of intelligence exchange and personnel training helped fostering anti-corruption work. The Commissioner hoped that there would be more chances for cooperation in the future.

Later, the Commissioner met with the trainees who came to attend the training course. He welcomed them to the CCAC for exchange and training and invited them to visit Macao again if they had chance. The Acting Chief of the Cabinet of the Commissioner, Vu Ka Vai, hosted the training course and introduced the functions, the organizational structures and the power of law enforcement in criminal matters of the CCAC. Moreover, veteran investigator of the CCAC shared and exchanged experiences with the delegates through case studies. The delegates actively raised questions and were especially interested in the independence and operation of the Commission.
